Please, try to do the following:
1. Restart the VPN Unlimited app 2.
Tap on the Menu icon -> Settings -> Protocols
3. Enable WireGuard and re-check the performance by connecting to several different country servers.
Should the issue persist - be sure to try the rest of the protocols (IKEv2, OpenVPN and KeepSolid Wise TCP, TLS and UDP).
