What is a password manager?

A password manager is an application developed to store, secure, and manage password, online credentials, and other personal information. Usually, these passwords and info are stored in a database protected by encryption, master password, and other measures. Some password managers, like Passwarden, also offer other features, e.g. generating secure passwords, additional account protection, convenient data migration, etc.
